Is Jeremy Lin the Real Deal?

Today's post is written by Little D:

Jeremy Lin scored a New York Knicks season high of 38 points.  Another reason Jeremy Lin is the new star is in his 8 starts, he has 92 assists.  In Carmelo Anthony's 23 starts, he has 98 assists.  The last reason is Carmelo Anthony said he is going to take pressure off of Jeremy Lin, which means he is going to take all the credit.  In conclusion, Jeremy Lin is the new star of the Knicks.

Cleveland Cavaliers - Championship Team?

Disclosure:  We live in Northeast Ohio and Little D is a huge Cavs fan.  That said, the boys debated whether the Cavs can win a championship.  Here we go...

Big J (age 7):

The reasons the Cavaliers cannot win a championship:

The first reason is that they commit 21.0 fouls per game.  The second reason is the Cavs have made 16.4 turnovers per game.  The Cavs led by 15 points over the Milwaukee Bucks and they lost.  I was shocked they blew that lead!  In conclusion, the Cavs are not a championship team.

Little D (age 9):

The reasons the Cavs have a chance to win a championship:

The first reason is that they lead the NBA with offensive rebounds and fast break points.  They are the second ranked defense in the Eastern Conference over the last five games.  The Cavs lead in rookie scoring with 18.0 points per game, made by Kyrie Irving.  In conclusion, I think the Cavs are a championship team!

What do you think?  Are the Cleveland Cavaliers a championship caliber team?  Or are they looking at years of rebuilding?  Make sure to vote in the top right sidebar!

Super Bowl Wrap Up

What a game!  This is what we liked about the Super Bowl:

Little D:

Eli Manning had a great drive to win the game, just like in Super Bowl 42.  I thought the Giants were going to lose but I still had hope in the G-Men.  The Giants' comeback was awesome!  I knew the G-Men could do it!

Big J:

I was worried in the fourth quarter because I was cheering for the Pats.  And I always love close games.  I thought the Pats would win - too bad they lost.  Rob Gronkowski dropped a deep pass from Tom Brady.  Everyone played their best.  I knew it was going to be a close game.  The Giants have now won four Super Bowls and the Patriots have won three.  I thought the Super Bowl was great!

Patriots or Giants - Who Will Win the Trophy?

The boys are on two sides of this coin.  Here are their picks and reasons:

Big J (age 7):

The Patriots will win the Super Bowl.  My reasons:

Wes Welker led the NFL in receptions with 1, 221 and he had a 99-yard reception in Week 1!  Tom Brady passed Dan Marino's record for passing yards.  However, he is still behind Drew Brees.  Rob Gronkowski did not even have 100 receptions and he still had the most touchdowns by a tight end with 17!

In conclusion, the Patriots will win the Super Bowl!

Little D (age 9):

The Giants will win the Super Bowl!  Why?

The Giants have the most sacks with 48 in one season!  The second reason is Victor Cruz has more yards per catch than Wes Welker.  Victor has 18.7 yards per catch and Wes only has 12.9 yards per catch.  The last reason is that the Giants have already beaten the Pats in Week 9 and in Super Bowl 42.  In conclusion, the Giants will win the Super Bowl!

Ray Lewis - Is It Time for Him to Hang Up His Cleats?

Nope, according to The Two Sports Brothers.  Here's why:

Ray Lewis is the all-time leading tackler in the NFL with 2004.  He is a great team leader.  Also, when he retires, who are the Ravens going to pick up?  He also holds the record for linebackers playing in the Pro Bowl with 13 Pro Bowl games.

Ray Lewis is the best player in Ravens history.  Nobody can run past him!

That is why Ray Lewis should not retire.

Do you think it's time for Ray Lewis to call it a day?  Or does he still have a few seasons left in him?

Cast your vote in the top right sidebar!

The Dwight Howard vote was unanimous - 100% of you feel he should stay with the Magic.  Thanks for your votes!
