We are two home schooling brothers with a passion for sports. This is our blog and we will talk about the latest sports events. We hope you visit often!

Dwight Howard

We both think Dwight Howard should not be traded to another team.  Why?  Here are our reasons:

He has the most points in Magic history, with 10,742  and he has only been in the league seven years.

He has 7,608 rebounds, again the most in Magic history.

His other stats include:

21,174 playing minutes

1,271 blocks

587 starting games

5 All-Star games

And he is only 26 years old!

The Orlando Magic would be dumb to let him go!
What do you think?  Should the Magic trade him to another team?  Or should they keep him?  Make sure to cast your vote in the top right sidebar!

The results of yesterday's poll was split:
33% thought Kobe Bryant is the best NBA player ever
33% voted for Michael Jordan
33% said neither

Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant?

Today's discussion is about Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant -who was (is)  the best NBA player?  You decide.

Big J (age 7)

The reasons why Michael Jordan is the best NBA player ever:
1.  Michael Jordan had more points per game, assists, rebounds and even blocks.  He had less turnovers.
2.  The second reason is that Michael Jordan has gone to more All-Star games he has played in 14 All-Star games and Kobe has played in 13 games).  With Michael Jordan, the Bulls were unstoppable!  They became a dynasty!

Michael Jordan is the best player who ever played in the NBA.

Little D (age 9):

The reasons why Kobe Bryant is better than Michael Jordan:
Michael Jordan admitted that Kobe is better than him.

Kobe Bryant has more All-Star Game MVP's than Michael Jordan and Kobe is still playing in the league.

Plus, he has played in more games than Michael Jordan.

In conclusion, Kobe Bryant is one of the best.

What do you think?  Who will be known as the best NBA player - Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant?  Be sure to cast your vote!

The results of yesterday's vote:  Should Peyton Manning continue to play or retire?
50% said he should retire
50% said he could continue to play

Peyton Manning - Stay or Go?

Little D (age 9)

Three reasons why the Colts should keep Peyton Manning:
The first reason is that Peyton Manning is the third best quarterback, behind Brett Favre and Dan Marino.
The second reason is that Peyton Manning is a legend.  Andrew Luck is not Peyton Manning yet.

The last reason is that Peyton Manning is the best passer and player in Indianapolis Colts history.

In conclusion, I would like to see Peyton Manning stay.

Big J (age 7)

The reasons Peyton Manning should stay in Indy:
1.  Peyton Manning is a future Hall of Famer.

2.  He is the best Colts quarterback, better than Johnny Unitas, and Johnny Unitas threw more TDs than Joe Montana!

3.  I think the Colts should draft Andrew Luck and get him ready to be a starter.

What do you think?  Is it time for Peyton to retire or should be remain in Indy?  Cast your vote in the top right sidebar!

Our First Post - Lebron James

Hello, this is mom to The Two Sports Brothers. My boys, Little D and Big J, talk nonstop about sports. I think if I were to disconnect the cable or get rid of the sports channels, there would be a mutiny in this house! We are a home schooling family and we thought this would be a fun way for them to perfect their writing skills.

They plan to blog often (as this also counts as school credit) and their opinions are just that - their opinions. I ask that all comments are made with the fact in mind that this blog does belong to children, but monitored very closely by mom!

Thanks for visiting! Their first post is about Lebron James and whether he should consider returning to Cleveland. This is a hot topic in this house as Little D is a huge Cavaliers fan and feels quite burned by the whole "Decision" thing. Here we go...

Little D (age 9):

The reasons I do not want Lebron James to come back to Cleveland:

1. The first reason is that if Lebron had not faked that elbow injury, we could have won a championship.

2. Another reason is that Lebron never passes the ball. He is a ball hog.

3. The last reason is that before Game 5 of the 2011 World Finals, Lebron James mocked Dirk Nowitzki's illness. He is a poor sport.

In conclusion, I do not want Lebron James to come back to Cleveland.

Big J (age 7):

The reasons I do want Lebron James to come back to Cleveland:

1.   He was the star.  We lost to the New Jersey Nets and they stink!

2.  Lebron got the points we needed.  Now our team stinks!

3.  My brother and I used to cheer in every game the Cavs played.

I think Lebron should come back to Cleveland.

What do you think?  Should Lebron tough it out in Miami or should he crawl back to Cleveland?  Make sure to vote in the poll at the top right sidebar!
